Texas Barbell Club Summer Youth Program

Texas Barbell Club Youth Summer Program is geared at coaching and instructing children between the ages 8 to 18 in the classic lifts, Snatch and Clean & Jerk, as well as proper mechanics of squatting and pulling. The program is aimed at offering a strong foundation for the competitive sport of weightlifting, as well as the development of force production, speed and strength necessary for sports performance across multiple disciplines.

At Texas Barbell Club, proper mechanics and technical development takes priority with the belief that the accumulation of strength over a long period of time will aid overall athletic development within the sport of weightlifting and beyond. Spearheaded by Cari Reiswig, the goal is to aid youth and junior athletes in building longterm resilience in sports that has the potential to carry on beyond formal schooling years and into adulthood.

4 Weeks - 12 Jul - 6 Aug 2021 ($175)

During the Youth Summer Program, Athletes will have the opportunity to train three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in groups no larger than 4. Training will be held at 1:30pm with no longer than 1.5 hour training sessions.

Final day for registration is 9 July 2021.
